My ideal travel EDC

• Slim wallet + passport holder — Keep cards/ID and passport together, but avoid a giant travel wallet.

• Tiny flashlight — Something genuinely pocket-sized, not a tactical monster. Around 300–500 lumens is plenty for hotels, rental cars, walking at night, etc.

• Earbuds + wired backup — Wireless earbuds for normal use; inexpensive wired USB-C earbuds as an emergency backup.
• Tiny tech pouch — Keep all the above cables/adapters together instead of scattering them through your bag.

What I would not bring

• Large fixed-blade/tactical knives
• Heavy metal multitools
• Huge flashlights
• Multiple wall chargers
• More than 2–3 cables
• A giant 20,000+ mAh battery unless you actually need the capacity
• Anything you wouldn't realistically use at least once during the trip

The goal is one pocket + one small pouch, not a miniature survival kit.
